Barcodes: Now to accompany each Registered Item
Starting from September 1st, 2010 all registered mail will be barcoded on posting at any post office in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Post tries evening delivery until 7 p.m.
A pilot afternoon parcel delivery project run by the Czech Post has been underway from July 2010. The project covering all regional capitals, which is to continue until the end of September, is expected to improve the successful delivery rate and level of quality.
International mail prices to change
International mail prices charged by the Czech Post are to change with effect from September 1st. The change is due to the changing prices charged by foreign postal operators under international agreements between postal administrations in the world on tariffs of incoming and outgoing mail flows. The final prices charged by the Czech Post will therefore be increased or reduced to reflect the tariffs for each weight category.
