The Collector Fair with the Czech Post

Whether you collect old picture cards of places you like and wish to add some new ones to your collection, or just want to see what's new among the rarities gathered by collectors from around the world, the trade fair Collector is the right place for you.

The 12th annual trade fair COLLECTOR , the largest international gathering of collectors in the Central and East Europe, will be held under the auspices of the Czech Post, the Union of Czech Philatelists and the Czech Numismatic Society. The fair is to host more than 220 exhibitors from 40 countries worldwide. The expected number of visitors, both domestic and foreign, exceeds 13 thousand.

The Czech Post will offer commemorative postmarks and postcards, postage stamps and other philatelic goods at the event. The small pieces of arts incorporated in the books of stamps 'The České středohoří uplands - tertiary volcanic region' and 'Nature protection: The Křivoklátsko region - a UNESCO biosphere reserve', closely preceding the event (September 2, 2009), are expected to attract the largest attention.

Those who want to boast stamps of their own are also invited. The PostFila staff will arrange for personalised additional prints on coupons attached to stamps.

The Collector fair comes with a number of interesting accompanying events. For instance, visitors may ask experts present at the fair for free valuation of their collections of stamps, coins or phone cards.
