Roman Knap won the Czech Post’s Director General selection process

Roman Knap, previously the CEO of SAP Czech Republic and SAP Slovakia, won the process of selection of a new Director General of the state-owned company Czech Post. The winning candidate will enter into negotiations with the Ministry of the Interior about further steps including the date of start of work. The negotiations should start in the coming days.

On 30 April 2018, the Ministry of the Interior closed the process of selecting a new Director General for Czech Post. 13 of the overall 19 candidates satisfied the inclusion criteria and were interviewed by the Ministry. The successful 6 candidates proceeded to the final round. The selection board decided that Roman Knap, the CEO of SAP Czech Republic and SAP Slovakia, demonstrated the largest experience, knowledge and best-presented vision of further development of the state-owned company.

The board members were experts from the Ministry of the Interior, Czech Post’s supervisory board, Czech Government’s Office, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Ministry of Finance, chosen after an assessment of their professional qualifications.
