Delivery times to and from the United States may be disproportionately long due to insufficient flights

Insufficient flights between some countries of the world, caused by the spread of coronavirus, are constantly causing problems in the delivery of consignments. We regularly publish on our website an up-to-date list of countries to which shipments are suspended, precisely due to the absence or insufficient capacity of flights.

We inform our clients that a situation may occur where the receipt of consignments destined to some countries will continue but the delivery time may be significantly extended due to insufficient flight capacity. For instance, this is the case of the United States. Current flight capacities are lower than the volumes of received consignments. Shipments may wait in Prague for up to several weeks so that the total delivery time may exceed one month. Last week alone, we managed to send about 6 tons of consignments to the United States and about 4 tons to the United Kingdom, but the capacity is still insufficient.

Problems can also occur in the opposite direction when consignments are delivered from the United States to the Czech Republic. The USPS sends part of the volume of consignments to Europe by ship and then by truck.

We are held responsible for delivery of these consignments coming from abroad and destined to our customers in the Czech Republic. However, if the current limits in international transportation prevent foreign carriers or online shops from handing over a consignment ordered by their customer for transportation, we cannot guarantee its delivery to the addressee in the Czech Republic.
