The Czech Post is headed by Marcela Hrdá

Martin Pecina, Minister of the Interior, appointed Ms. Marcela Hrdá Director General of the Czech Post on December 29th, 2009.
"Ms. Hrdá is a manager with a vast experience in the area of information technology as well as in restructuring projects of large domestic and international companies. This is what the Czech Post currently needs. Her main task will be to prepare the state-owned enterprise for the situation when it loses its privileged position due to the process of market liberalisation and has to face competition," Mr. Pecina said when commenting on his decision.

Ing. Marcela Hrdá is coming from the position of a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Director for Non-Air Operations, Services and Transformation of the Prague Airport company Letiště Praha, a.s. She has been also acting as the director of the residual state-owned enterprise Prague Airport Administration.

Ms. Hrdá graduated from the University in Bratislava (Information Science). She started working with Siemens in Vienna and next with Alcatel Slovakia. Her first employer in Prague (2000) was Contactel where she worked as Director for Sales Support and Key Account Relations Control. In 2004-2006 she worked as the Executive Director for Transformation, later on as the Vice-President for Marketing and Sales of the Czech Airlines ČSA. She was appointed into the top positions in the Prague Airport company where she was in charge of information and communication technology, operations and information security, control of strategic policies and changes, including business transformation into a joint-stock company.
