The Postal Museum to receive the 2014 Gloria Musealis Award for an extraordinary project of the year
The 2014 Gloria Musealis Awards were announced at a ceremony held in Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague on Thursday, 14 May 2015 at 2 p.m. The Postal Museum together with the partnering institutions received the 2014 Special Award proposed by the Honorary Committee of the Gloria Musealis in the category Museum Project of the Year for the project The Great War.

Czech Post posted a CZK 241 million profit in 2014
Czech Post generated a CZK 241 million profit before tax in 2014. 2014 was the second year Czech Post had to operate on a fully liberalised market. Its operations were mostly affected by the continuing decline in the volume of letters, by the annual 10% of domestic letters. The decline with the related reduction of income from these traditional postal services was partially compensated by revenues from new business opportunities as well as by saving measures across all categories of costs.
