The Czech Post has partnered with the insurance company Pojišťovna VZP to provide new health insurance services to foreigners. The services will be available at certain post offices. The offered range includes a Complete Health Insurance for Foreigners and a Basic Health Insurance for Foreigners.

The Complete Health Insurance for Foreigners is mainly intended for foreigners who want to stay in the country for an extended period of time (over 90 days); the coverage includes health care in a scope comparable to the scope of public health insurance for Czech nationals. The product complies with all legal requirements for obtaining a visa for a period lasting more than 90 days.

The Basic Health Insurance for Foreigners is mainly intended for foreigners who want to stay in the country for a short period of time (less than 90 days); the coverage includes only necessary and immediate health care. The product has been designed mainly for short-time stays, such as tourist or business trips, training events or workshops, family visits.
